Welfare Ministry

The Welfare department organizes welfare and harnesses all available resources within the church to enable the church identify with members in a fair and consistent way during landmark celebrations or in challenging situations. The following welfare package applies as specified hereunder.

Financial Assistance

All requests for financial assistance must be channeled through the House Fellowship except the Parish Pastor waives this condition in peculiar cases. The House Fellowship is expected to have rendered some assistance and counseling as required to the needy before forwarding the request to the Welfare Committee when further assistance is still required.

Our welfare packages include:

  • Counselling and financial support to the bereaved
  • Gifts to new born babies
  • Gifts to members celebrating land mark birthdays/ anniversaries
  • Members access to Discount shopping stores

Testimony

One fateful afternoon, I was at home doing my chores when my body started to weaken. I thought it would only last for a few seconds. When I realised that it was serious, I eased myself to the floor as I was not able to move. I was acutely ill in hospital and doctors did not think that I would pull through. I was admitted into the intensive care of the hospital. I could not talk or even move at all. My left leg was dead! Really! I became unconscious and was unaware of my surroundings. Prior to my admission, I had collapsed at home and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. However, people later told me that all I kept saying in my unconscious state was 'Jesus is lord'!!!
